It is advised to arrive in Birmingham the day before (Wednesday July 4). There are regular flights to Birmingham International Airport from most major European cities. There are also flights (Continental) from the USA with Continental (via Newark) that go directly to Birmingham. After visiting the Tour de France all particpants will return by coach to Birmingham on the evening of the 7th. Departure from Birmingham should therefore be scheduled for the 8th of July from Birmingham. (There is no oppertunity to take luggage to London). It is advised to book hotels from 4-7 July. There is ample car parking at the University and visitors are recommended to park at the South Car Park. The University has its own train station and access by train is therefore easy and straightforward. The event itself will take place in the NEW School of Sport and Exercise Sciences at the University of Birmingham. This is building number 10 on the campus map which can be found on the University of Birmingham web site >>campus map
